The Private Pilot License (PPL) is the first milestone in your aviation journey. In some ways it is similar to having a driver’s license for an automobile. As a private pilot trained by D2 Flight Academy  you will receive all the necessary qualifications to legally, safely, and competently fly a small aircraft. The flight training includes navigation, aircraft maneuvers, emergency procedures and cross-country flight planning.

Having a PPL will allow you to fly in and out of all civil airports. This license will give you the freedom to fly to nearby airports to explore the community or to travel across country on your own terms. You can take your friends and family on rides or become involved in one of the many wonderful aviation programs that will enhance your experience as a private pilot.

How long it takes to earn your PPL depends on a variety of factors. Aircraft availability, finances, and weather are all considerations. But ultimately, it is how dedicated you are to training that will determine how quickly you can be up and away. We offer an accelerated training program that provides a license in 8 weeks. For those with other commitments, we can work around your schedule too. As with any new challenge the first step is always the toughest.
